New start

So i have not posted for a while. Well it might be an understatement if i say that but things change and this space should get more visits from me regularly. Its not like my eyes was closed, just that i were not active here. May be its a good thing to start a post with a couple of pics and we can take it from there. What do you say? These pics are on my flickr account but are fitting the title of this blog to help you see things that i do or did. It helps me to know that there are people worse off than me and that we are not the only ones having a tough time and have alot of things to be thankful for. So here we go, enjoy the ride with me

To speak for speaking sake

Well i thought it to be a good thing to get in the habit of at least once a week say something on here. some times i have not much to say and this is one of those posts ;-). i decided to start off with adding some quotes on photography by one of histories most well known and respected landscape photographers, Ansel Adams. so here we go:

Sometimes I do get to places just when God's ready
to have somebody click the shutter.

A photograph is often looked at...rarely looked into.

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words

A good photograph is knowing where to stand.

A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest

sense, about what is being photographed.

A true photograph need not be explained, nor can it be contained in words.

Both the grand and the intimate aspects of nature can be revealed in the expressive photograph. Both can stir enduring affirmations and discoveries, and can surely help the spectator in his search for identification with the vast world of natural beauty and the wonder surrounding him

Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships.

I am probably afraid that some spectator will not understand my photography - therefore I proceed to make it really less understandable by writing defensibly about it.

I tried to keep both arts alive, but the camera won. I found that while the camera does not express the soul, perhaps a photograph can!

In my mind's eye, I visualize how a particular... sight and feeling will appear on a print. If it excites me, there is a good chance it will make a good photograph. It is an intuitive sense, an ability that comes from a lot of practice.

In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration.

It is horrifying that we have to fight our own government to save the environment.

It is my intention to present - through the medium of photography - intuitive observations of the natural world which may have meaning to the spectators.

Landscape photography is the supreme test of the photographer - and often the supreme disappointment.

Millions of men have lived to fight, build palaces and boundaries, shape destinies and societies; but the compelling force of all times has been the force of originality and creation profoundly affecting the roots of human spirit.

Myths and creeds are heroic struggles to comprehend the truth in the world.

No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.

Not everybody trusts paintings but people believe photographs.

Finally this week i will end with one from HCB

‘Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. - Henri Cartier Bresson
